The Liverpool City Council under the Building Schools for the Future Program, Wave 6, included the Archbishop Beck Sports College in the program. This facility has a capacity of 1,200 students. The primary intent is to have a WOW factor upon entry that screams “This is a Sports College”, for that reason we located a 40’ high rock climbing wall in the entrance foyer / atrium. Also visible upon entry is the indoor pool, fitness center and gymnasium facility. Flexible and innovative teaching elements are dispersed throughout the facility, including a cutting edge arts and design tech program that has an integrated gallery and technology suite that utilizes the corridors. The three story educational / classroom component has views into the main entrance atrium. This facility is designed to Bream Standards, the English equivalent to our USGBC LEED Rating System, Silver.
